The Littleton/Englewood Wastewater Treatment Plant (L/E WWTP) Engineering Internship Program will provide a candidate with hands-on work experience in a real world work environment, practice AutoCAD knowledge, and learn and develop project engineering skills. Successful participation in this program will establish a relevant future reference.

 Examples of Work

  • Update record AutoCAD drawings from existing hand-modified records to become updated electronic records.
  • Conduct small engineering design projects under the supervision of the L/E WWTP engineering staff.
  • Support engineering staff in the procurement of technical goods and services.
  • Participate in construction inspection efforts and overview the tasks from the construction management viewpoint.

Preferred Candidate and Skillset Requirements

A student in the field of construction, civil, environmental, electrical, or mechanical engineering or other related discipline.  Must possess the following:

  • AutoCAD knowledge
  • Relevant references
  • Proof of legal residency

 Work Location, Hours, Etc.

L/E WWTP is located at 2900 South Platte River Drive in Englewood, Colorado.  The internship program is set for the summer months, between 10-12 weeks, dependent upon the candidate’s school schedules.  Work is typically M-F, 40 hours per week, or as agreed upon by your supervisor.  Compensation is bi-weekly and the position provides no benefits (holidays, insurance, etc.).
